Franklin the Toad | ||
| Franklin was a happy toad Sunning on the country road. If a car or truck would pass, He would hop off to the grass. There he saw friend Sally Snail, Waiting for her morning mail. "Don't you like the road?" said he. "No," she said, "I'm slow, you see. If I go out there to sun, I'll be hit, and that's no fun." Franklin said, "You're right, I know. That's the problem when you're slow. I will always be alert. So I hope I won't get hurt." | ||
