New Snow | ||
| New fallen snow lies afresh all around, Blanketing all of the cold, frozen ground. It was a dusting, not really a drift, But it can give winter spirit a lift. All of the scars and the soot disappear Like a clean slate for the start of the year. Somehow we know that the snow will not last. After the thawing it all will be past. Let us enjoy it from our window pane, Glad that the shovelers don't have to strain. | ||
