| Captains from the days of yore Brought their treasures to the fore. In their mansions by the sea They could live quite regally. But despite their pomp and wealth They could not ensure their health. Women died while giving birth, Robbing homes of all their mirth. Yet their values did survive For the folks that stayed alive. Praise the Lord that we can see Glimpses of our history. | ||
