Youth

O exuberance of youth,
When it's cool to be uncouth.
If they've cause to celebrate
They're in an ecstatic state,
Running, screaming every place,
Throwing flour in the face.
Their excitement knows no bounds
As they gaily make the rounds.
Calmer, older heads may wag,
But they too may like to brag.
Life is boredom mixed with joy!
Spirit bright one can't destroy.
