A Monkey Tale | ||
Michael the monkey is up in the tree, Eating bananas and they are for free. He has some stripes on his long curly tail. When he is frightened he lets out a wail. Michael can swing from one branch to the next. His life is simple; he's never perplexed. He has been looking around for w wife, Someone to cherish the rest of his life. Now he is chatting with every new date, Trying to find an appropriate mate. Jennifer seems to be one of the best. She is much nicer than all of the rest. She takes a liking to Michael as well. Their life together could really be swell. They both embark on the marital state, Ready together to new life create. Soon they establish a large family! Michael and Jennifer plus babies three. They have a home in the top of a tree, So very high that the hunters can't see. Hunters might shoot them or catch them to sell, Neither of which they would like very well. Youngsters are named Nancy, Peter, and Joe. Joe is the smallest!a little bit slow. Soon the three babies can go off to play. Jennifer hopes that they won't lose their way. Nancy and Peter return right on cue; Joe doesn't come when the playtime is through. Michael says, "Maybe the toddler is lost! I will go find him, whatever the cost." Nancy and Peter both stay with their mom, Who is attempting to keep fully calm. Michael is searching all over the place, But of young Joe there is nary a trace. All of a sudden the youngster appears, Telling his father through copious tears, "I found a cave with a rabbit today. At his suggestion I went in to play." Michael said, "You should have told us, you know! We need to know where you're going to go." "Next time I'll tell you, I promise," says Joe, Ducking his head to avert father's blow. Next day their family starts to explore Part of the forest they've not seen before. Down on the ground there are humans who see All of the monkeys up high in the tree. Michael said, "Let's give the folks there a show! Swing by your tails and they'll love it below." Love it they did, and they shouted with glee, Watching the antics up high in the tree. When they departed they left at their feet Raisins and peanuts for monkeys to eat. On their way down Nancy gave a loud shout, "I've caught my tail and I can't get it out." Peter came quickly and soon got it free. (It had been stuck in a fork of the tree.) Mother said, "Now you are out of that trap, Why don't we all head straight home for a nap?"
