Lake Titikaka

Skimming o'er the lake so wide
Till we reach the other side
We absorb the sun's hot ray
In the middle of the day.
'Tis a peaceful, pretty sight
In the glaring mid-day light.
Titikaka is its name.
How it merits all its fame.
On an island dry and brown
Live the craftsmen of renown
Who use reeds to build a boat
That is sturdy when afloat.
