| The New Year's slate is clean and bright. Who knows what we may stop to write? We hope for phrases warm and kind That will inspire our state of mind. We hope for deeds that show the love We received from God above. We hope for health to work and play, And grace sufficient for each day. We hope that we may thankful be For every joy we are to see.
