Folks who dwell within a slum May be decent, warm, and kind. They are not all worthless scum; We can see if we're not blind. They all feel community Since their quarters are too tight. It is not all harmony, But they do not always fight. Simple pleasures must suffice When a fam'ly is so poor. They're content with beans and rice, And the heat they can endure. | ||
