Though the night is still so black And the moon is just a crack Soon its time is past and done. It must yield to rising sun. Palest blue and gray appear, Warning that the sun is near. Soon it turns to pretty pink, Ere we have much time to think. Then, at once, to brighten all, Comes the fiery orange ball. It will shine throughout the day, Then it too will fade away. | ||
