Once a donkey meek and lowly Brought our Savior into town. He was riding very slowly, Trying to suppress a frown. He knew though they now were cheering, Waving branches in the air, Soon their cheers would turn to jeering, But he must resist despair. Now hosannas are resounding As the people cheer him on. Then their hate will be rebounding And the joy will all be gone. | ||
