Contrasts | ||
Contrasts give a welcome rest, Adding to our life more zest. Night's a partner with the day, Neither one has come to stay. When the day is scorching hot, One seeks out a cooler spot. When the colors seem too bright, Others are a paler sight. When the air becomes too still Comes a breeze to make a rill. When a day is filled with haste It is nice some time to waste. Silence satisfies the ear After noises disappear. | ||
