Sore Jaw

When it hurts to chew your food
You'll have little need to eat.
Though it may seem somewhat rude,
You sit staring at your feet.
There is reason to slow down;
Gently savor every bite.
Do your best to curb a frown
As you try to be polite.
'Tis a trail that can be borne
If you face it patiently.
Do not weep or look forlorn!
By and by you will find glee.
