Goals | ||
We sometimes set our goals too high And cannot reach them, though we try. Perhaps we climb up half the stair By dint of sweat and fervent prayer. Is this a sign we should pull back Our goals to a more modest tack? Or should we ev'ry challenge face And keep on striding in the race? When nothing's ventured, nothing's gained, Although our strength be sometimes strained. Our grasp may never fit our reach But that's a lesson life can teach. | ||
