Tower View | ||
The city sleeps beneath our feet, A-twinkling with its pearls of light. We're eating far above the street And staring out into the night. The tower shields us from the dirt And crimes committed down below. From here we cannot see the hurt, Although it must be there, we know. We think instead of love and peace, Of candlelight and sweet romance. We think our joy will never cease, And sit enraptured in our trance. | ||
