Snakes | ||
Slithering snakes are awaiting the sun, Hoping to catch a stray mouse on the run. Boa constrictors and rattlesnakes, too, Squirming and turning so they don't turn blue. Who can imagine the thoughts in their head? Whether at times they have something to dread? When they see humans they slither away, Hoping that they can go on with their play. Here comes the sun they expected at noon. They are excited that it came so soon. Now they stop slithering, ready to rest. No mouse was captured, though they tried their best. | ||
