Ivy | ||
The ivy climbs the stoic wall That cannot dodge the groping shoot. The wall in silence bears it all. There is no horn for it to toot. The vine is patient in its quest To blanket every inch it can. It has no need for lengthy rest. It works each day upon its plan. The ivy climbs not out of greed, Or some innate hostility. It simply meets its basic need To be what it was meant to be. | ||
