Leafless Trees | ||
Leafless trees are standing guard, Holding all in grim regard, Eyeing every passing bird, Never uttering a word. They don't gossip or spread dirt, Telling tales that maybe hurt. In their silence they proclaim Some things last and stay the same. They preach patience after all, Knowing spring will counter fall. Do not think they're fast asleep. They their silent vigil keep. | ||
