| The moon has kept its watch all night. It's moving slowly left to right. It's seen the lovers in their bed And those who'd rather sleep instead. It's seen the burglars on the prowl, The bear a-hunting, and the owl. The luminescence of its glow Creates a haunting, magic show. It makes one hardly dare to sleep For fear of missing something deep. And though the sun has brought the day, The moon has still not gone away. | ||
