Rain | ||
At last the rain has finally come To soak the earth so sere and numb. The thunder rolls from west to east. It sounds just like a hungry beast. The rain is sprinkling softly down. The ants can hide so they won't drown. The flowers sip the drops with glee, As happy as they all can be. The grass regains its normal green And dusty byways now are clean. We hope it won't become a flood To turn the country into mud. | ||
