Barney the Dinosaur | ||
Barney the dinosaur went off to school, Anxious to show kids that he was no fool. He paid attention to all teacher said, Keeping the facts in their place in his head. When it was time in his class for a test, Barney excelled 'cause he gave it his best. He knew his alphabet so he could read. He could add figures with accurate speed. When it was time for he pupils to play Barney would never insist on his way. He could play kickball with help from his tail, Leaving the other team looking quite pale. Barney was helpful with chores in the school, Passing out papers, or crackers and gruel. He never gossiped or looked for a fight. He always tried just to do what is right. All of the pupils thought he was so great, After the school day they went on a date. Kids took their turn on his bright purple back. He gave them rides in a large circling track. When it was time to say "Bye" for the day, They interrupted the dinosaur's play. Home they all went to relate their great fun, Glad Barney's friendship had so well begun. | ||
