| We sprinkle with water to tell of God's care! With water, sustainer of life everywhere, Reminding us all that the baby so fair Is nurtured by love and perpetual prayer. The water's not magic, it's only a sign That with God's protection we truly feel fine. We promise to nurture the infant with love As one of the saints sent from heaven above. The angels are singing with manifest glee, So happy the soul of the baby to see. Who knows where his footsteps tomorrow may lead? But one thing is sure: he is God's child indeed. | ||
