Cardinal | ||
Cardinal in yonder tree Peering down at you and me Wonders if we bode him ill Or if we exude goodwill. He has brought a word of hope, Telling us that we can cope. Though the tree is brown and dark He has brought a brilliant spark! Flaming red his feathers shine, Showing us that he is fine. How can one behold his cloak And remain a passive bloke? He has brought the sunshine in, Telling us that we can win. | ||
