| The jungle trail is cool and still As hikers slowly climb the hill. They pass the offerings of beer Macumba cults have left from fear. The birds are singing in the trees As if they were designed to please. Banana trees are growing well And butterflies detect their smell. The soil is rich, and slippery, too. The passersby have been quite few. The view on top is worth the climb, Inspiring me to make a rhyme. | ||
