The Spider's Tale

I squished a spider on the floor,
a-crunching up its guts and gore.
It had not harmed me one small bit,
But it would give my wife a fit.
The spider should have stayed at home.
Instead, it chose our house to roam.
I wonder if it knew the chance
When it began its final dance.
The moral of this tale, I see,
Is stay where you're supposed to be.
