In the Kitchen | ||
The kettle whistles happily. The burner glows with cherry heat. A kitten licks its paws with glee, Awaiting something nice to eat. The nosy sun shines through the pane To cheer and warm the souls within. The tasty soup is far from plain, So clapping hands will make a din. A mother's work is never done, Though all the kitchen boast a shine. She always seems to have some fun Whenever cooking food with wine. | ||
