Solstice | ||
The sun has had its highest day And now, alas, must drop away. Its rhythm is so resolute It cannot try a substitute. Now we are trapped in no such way. We should shine long, at work or play. Our schedule we can well amend To show a kindness, make a friend. We need not follow life's strict clock As if we were a senseless crock. Although we'll miss the longer days We're not a pris'ner of the rays. | ||
