| The cardinal remains bright red Although the leaves have gone away. You'd think he would his color shed To be a less attractive prey. Perhaps he would a statement make To all who fear to show their red. It is a lesson one could take! To bare the truth and banish dread. The Lord has made us as we are. He loves us with our warts and all. We needn't our true color tar; He wants to see us standing tall. | ||
