Winter | ||
The winds of winter have returned To places where the sun once burned. They chill my bones and freeze my teeth Although I like a Christmas wreath. The winter sun is bright but chill. It cannot give my heart a thrill. Its brilliance is a mockery Although it shines so merrily. Thank God for homes with central heat. They make our living quite a treat. On days I have to venture out, I'll grin and bear it, never pout. | ||
