Patience

Apples fall when they are ripe,
Though they first are out of reach.
That should teach us not to gripe;
We should learn the truth they teach.
We may thrive on instant food
And use things we've not yet bought.
Living well we don't include
Time in life for patient thought.
What I guess I'm trying to say
In this lilting little rhyme
Is that in both work and play
Things worth having take some time.
