The River of Life | ||
The river of life winds its way to the sea, Content to be moving untrammeled and free. Although it must cope with intolerant blocks It rebounds and strengthens right after the rocks. The river of life gains its strength as it flows. It must fight stagnation for nobody knows Just when it must answer for all it has done And pay for the time it has spent in the sun. The sediment sinks in the river of life. It drops all the dregs of contention and strife. It gives of itself when the thirsty appear And faces the future with no shred of fear. | ||
