Shine | ||
| The lily pad in pond of scum Displays a blossom white. The algae has not overcome The flower's radiance bright. It could have said, "Oh, what's the use, Why shine in all this gloomy mess?" But never heeding that excuse It sought to every ill redress. Although the world is sometimes gray And striving fails to hit the mark, Let's shine our best at work and play And thereby overcome the dark. | ||
