Hawaiian Dance | ||
Costumed dancers stamp their feet As the rhythm speeds its pace. They don't miss a single beat Although some will make a face. Sticks are beat and passed around, Even thrown while lit afire. Men in grass skirts beat the ground Though the flames are reaching higher. Some have painted face and spear And a tongue that is quite rude. They can cause a soul to fear If their aim is well construed. 'Tis a show to thrill the heart. Everyone has done his part. | ||
