| The rain of summer's cool and sweet. It knows just how the heat to beat. The thirsty grass and trees are glad. They needed water really bad. The birds are tweeting happily 'Cause they can take a bath for free. The worms are tickled, too, I guess. They might have been in great distress. The temperature has been so cruel We needed rain to make us cool. The rain my serve to illustrate That all things come to those who wait. | ||
