Artists in sequins can fly through the air Skillfully, agilely, full of great dare. Sometimes we gasp when we think they might fall, Thousands of eyes held in riveting thrall. Walkers on high wires can leap with a bound, Forward or backward they turn all around. Elephants stroll like a two-legged man. Acrobats spring up as high as they can. Tigers can carry a girl on their back, Jumping through hoops when the whip gives a crack. Gauchos are flipping their bolas with glee. Circus shows offer such wonder to see. | ||
