| Andrew and Christopher wanted a dog, Not a red rooster, a duck or a hog. "Dogs are a great deal of work," Mother said. "They make a mess and they have to be fed." "No problem," said the two boys, "It's a breeze. Let's get a doggie right now, Mother, please." Mother said "Andrew and Christopher, dear, Though you both promise to help, boys, I fear I will get stuck with the bulk of the work. Soon you would tire and your dog duties shirk. When you are older the time will be right. Then you will care for a dog and not fight. | ||
