| Father Almighty, the world needs your peace. Help us stop killing so love may increase. Guide all the nations to lay down their arms, Melting the cannons for plows on the farms. Help us to learn how to enemies love, Giving them succor instead of a shove. Share with those enemies insight so clear. They, too, may realize peace is most dear. Help us discover a peace that will last So that the horror of warring is past. We can indeed no more slaughter afford. Give us the peace that you promised, o Lord. | ||
