Pelicans doze on the tops of the piers, Watching the months run along into years. Some have their bill turned around to the back. Others just leave it stuck down in a crack. Those who are oldest and wisest can choose Which of the pilings they always will use. Pelicans sleep in the warmth of the sun, Resting their wings after fishing is done. When they are hungry they search for a fish, Soaring and diving wherever they wish. Then they can store up enough for a week, | ||
