Beverly the Horse | ||
Clippety-clop ring the hooves of the horse, Galloping swiftly ahead on her course. Ears are pulled back and the wind blows the mane. Nostrils are flaring more air to obtain. Christopher clings to the neck of the steed, Happily letting emotion secede. Mile after mile over mountain and rill Christopher loves his equestrian thrill. Beverly dashes wherever she please, Anxious to gulp down great droughts of the breeze. Finally it's time to return home for lunch. Beverly's happy for sweet oats to munch. Christopher thanks her so much for the ride. "It was a pleasure," she said with some pride. | ||
