Jeremy the Cat | ||
Christopher played with a calico cat. He was quite frisky and lithe as a bat. Jeremy's tail was all wrapped round his head. 'Cause he pretended that he was in bed. Christopher asked him, "How are you today? Why don't you unwrap your tail and come play?" "All right," said Jeremy, "what shall we do?" Christopher said, "We can go to the zoo." Off the two went for a stroll down the street. What do you think they might happen to meet? Just round the corner they saw a huge dog, Growling and running with menacing jog. Quickly they ran to escape in a store, Jumped right inside it and slammed shut the door. "Don't be afraid," said the man. "It's all right. Maybe he growls but he won't ever bite." "Okay," said Christopher, "we will go past. Just to be safe we will run very fast." Out at the zoo they both had a great time, Bringing me now to the end of my rhyme. | ||
