The River | ||
When I sit by the river I feel quite at ease. All the birds are just resting, inhaling the breeze. Sleepy fish swim in circles and shun my best bait, But I care not for that, for I'm feeling so great. I can dream of what was and of what is to be, Loving life and my health and my spirit so free, Praising God for creating this great world for me, Trusting Him for my future direction to see. As the river flows on gaining strength from each stream I continue through life as if it were a dream. If a boulder confronts me I swim safely past, Sure that I will meet up with my Savior at last. | ||
