The paddle dips and strokes with ease And turns the bark into the breeze. My happiness is by degrees. The lake itself is bound to please. When I am caring ennui flees. I just admire the birds and bees And thank the Lord for both of these. When I perchance begin to sneeze The Spirit knows and surely sees, And bids me rise from bended knees. I then find joy in fragrant trees. My life on earth with me agrees. | ||
