Curious Deer | ||
The curious deer with the twitch in his ear Has come to sniff the breeze. When people appear he is taken with fear And flees within the trees. His tail is so white as he leaps out of sight; It looks just like a flag. Yet who can indict it for being so bright On this majestic stag. He leaps past the tree to be totally free And find another glade. He hopes he will see with a passionate glee A sweet and juicy blade. For him life is sweet. There is plenty to eat. The Lord protects the dell. And I should repeat, as I think it is meet, The Lord guards me as well. | ||
