Birds | ||
All of the birds are asleep in the nest, Folding their wings for a good night of rest. They have been chirping from dawn until dark, Looking for worms or some woodpecker's bark. Who can imagine the thoughts that they think When their small eyelids are shut with a blink? Can they be plotting escape from the cat? Or are they scheming to catch a small rat? Birds have the freedom to fly where they will, Piercing the sky with their arrogant bill. Some will fly fast while the others go slow, Searching above while they swoop down so low. Birds can inspire us with beauty and grace, Making us glad to remain in this place. | ||
