Sleep | ||
| Fluffy pillows soothe my head As I lie upon my bed. If a good book I have read I will sleep as if I'm dead. Slumber comes to me with ease When I sleep where'er I please. Temperature with me agrees When there is no frigid breeze. * When I sleep I often dream, Drifting off to lands unknown. Things are different than they seem, Yet I'm never quite alone. Softly angels sing to me Of a land of perfect peace, Lifting high my spirit free, Helping me to find release. Purple mountains, fields of green, Stretch before my wond'ring eyes. Flowers I have never seen Fill each valley with a prize. When I wake I scarce recall All the dreamland ecstasy. Crossing o'er the conscious wall I see what was meant to be. | ||
