Baby | ||
Softly I sing to the babe in my arms, Totally won by the force of her charms, Dreaming of what she may one day become. She is so tiny with face like a plum, Fingers that grasp as she dozes in bliss. Oh how I love to bestow her a kiss. Proudly I cling to this bundle of joy Knowing that she is much more than a toy. She faces problems too hard to conceive, Yet can I firmly her power believe. She will have all of the love that she should, Blessedly living a life that is good. God will watch over her days and her years, Healing her wounds and consoling her tears. She will be bright as the sun up above, Strong as an ox and as sweet as a dove. Generous, graceful, and healthy as well, Having more friends than a bird in the dell. When it is time for this treasure to wed Someone will eagerly take her to bed, Loving her deeply with all of his heart, Ready one day a new fam'ly to start. | ||
