Earth Day | ||
| The earth is a fragile and wonderful gift That's given to us to enjoy. Yet progress has caused degradation to swift We must all our efforts deploy. The air that we breathe is no longer so pure. The trash reaches up to the sky. The rivers and streams need a powerful cure So fish will not curl up and die. If each would protect his own part of the earth The planet would surely revive. But sadly there is of concern a great dearth, No matter how you and I strive. All we can do is to show them the way And hope they will follow our lead. It also might help us to kneel down and pray The earth may be pleasant indeed. | ||
